Lakeland Trails: This year’s very popular series of trail races have been announced for 2013.

All the races take place in the UK’s Lake District. Lakeland trails quote ‘A festive, family-friendly, carnival atmosphere awaits you at every venue’. The events are well organised and have good safety cover on the courses:

• 16th March: Cartmel
• 27th April: Hawkshead
• 1st June: Staveley
• 7th July: Coniston Marathon
• 7th Septembert – Keswick
• 5th October: Coniston
• 2nd November: Helvellyn,
• 3rd November Ullswater
